Just a few kilometers away from the bastide town of Sainte-Foy-La-Grande, the history of Château Picon goes back centuries. Completely destroyed during the Crusades, it was rebuilt during the 17th Century.
A symbolic property with its unusual architecture, it sits discreetly on the hills above the Dordogne, surrounded by its 85 hectares of uninterrupted vines. The property enjoys a soil made of clay and gravel and a micro-climate that allows it to bring the reputed Bordeaux grape varieties (Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon) to optimum maturity.
Château Picon, always attentive to its soil and the environment has transformed its way of working to integrate an ESM (Environmental System Management), following strict technical specifications in terms of preventive treatments on the plants and reasonable agricultural practices.
